About Me

I started life as a Theatre Professor and Actor before evolving, by a series of mutations, into a fourth year medical student. Concerned that medical school may not be challenging enough, I arranged to get married and start raising a young family right in time for matriculation. Two of the members of this family are children (apparently they were born this way). More specifically, they are boys, Christian (12) and Cameron (7). Their mother, Anne, is the brave woman who agreed to go on this wild adventure with me. To most, the progression from Theatre to Medicine seems like a radical shift, and perhaps at some level it is. I see it, though, as a continuum. I am interested in the human condition. All I have done is switch genres, as one astute friend put it, from fiction to non-fiction.
